“Life is full of characters, and I have the privilege of meeting lots of them through my work as a GP – and I wanted a book that felt the same, like it could just be real life and that each person in it feels like someone you know. I think when you have the connection with a book and its characters you can really immerse yourself in it and forget about your worries for a short time.”
