Quids in! campaign helps break down barriers to money and wellbeing support so that no-one is left behind.
On 1st September, Quids in! launched a social media campaign to help people on lower incomes smash through barriers and access help. It runs across ten London boroughs, sharing details of the money help on offer and urging them to take action.
The #TakeWhatsYours series of adverts was commissioned by mental health partnership Thrive LDN, supported and funded by the Mayor of London.
At Quids in! we know that support is out there but too many people are missing out. Some do not know where to go. Others find the system too complicated. Many feel ashamed to ask for help.

Londoners’ voices
In recent focus groups across London, people told us what stops them from getting support:
- Stigma and shame make it hard to open up. “I don’t know how to share.”
- Services feel too complex. “Money is out there that people are eligible for, but no one tells you about it and it’s difficult to access.”
- The system is not always designed with people in mind. “The worst kind of injustice is the one delivered by the very system tasked and entrusted with preventing it.
Sympathy is not enough. People want clear, practical support delivered with dignity and trust. People want services that meet them where they are, that they can understand, and that understand them. Everyone needs to know they are entitled to help without being judged.
The #TakeWhatsYours campaign is designed to show that there is no shame in getting the help, especially when it comes to money and wellbeing. It is running across Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Brent, Ealing, Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. Residents from these boroughs who want to find help with their finances can follow links at here.
We see you, we hear you, we are you
At Quids in!, we work to reflect the opinions, experiences, and hopes of people who often feel left behind. We employ people with lived experience of hardship, conduct surveys, and speak directly with people about their experiences with our services.
Our motto – we here you, we see you, we are you – reflects this commitment.
The Readers Club is one of the ways we are tackling this. By sharing accessible information, we help people take practical steps to improve their money and wellbeing.
Your voice matters. Together, we will keep pushing for support that is accessible, respectful, and free from stigma. No one should be left behind.
